Earth Day – Thank You

Posted May 5th, 2010 by admin

Thanks to all Sharon Residents Who Cleaned Town Roads for Earth Day

Thanks to everyone who helped (and are still helping!) to pick up roadside trash in Sharon. You’ll be proud to know that volunteers have cleaned more than 14 miles of road including Route 123, Jarmany Hill Road, Spring Hill Road, Mill Road, Greenleaf Road, Temple Road, McCoy Road, and Cross Road. And at least one resident has offered to clean a section of Route 124, which is in tough shape.

Because of our impressive efforts, the town is applying for and hoping to receive free daffodil bulbs from Litter-Free New Hampshire. If awarded, the bulbs will be used to beautify the meetinghouse and other public land in Sharon.

If you have cleaned any of our roads this year and are not listed below, please send us your name (Call Liz LaRose at 924-9614) and let us know what portion of each road you cleared so that we can thank you and add your name to our Litter-Free New Hampshire application.
