Selectmen’s Meeting
April 15, 2025

Call to order by Chet Bowles at 5:31 pm
Motion to approve the minutes of 4/1/2025 (Bowles/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve the 4/15/2025 payroll and manifest (Bowles/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried.
Reviewed proposal from Kona Cleans for an increase of $7.00/hour for cleaning services. Price will increase from $50.00/hour to $57.00/hour. The Board approved the increase.
The TA brought a question about zoning for Map 3 Lot 19&20 to the Board. An appraiser has asked if this property is “grandfathered” for rental of both units that are on this property. The Board discussed the property, Bowles stated that both units have been rentals for as long as he can remember. Ken Callahan agreed with Bowles. It was determined that, to the best knowledge of the Select Board at this time, this property is “grandfathered” for both units as rental units.
Reviewed intents to excavate from Harris Construction for tax years 2022-2023, 2023-2024, 2024-2025. There are no approved permits for excavation on the Harris Construction property, including any alteration of terrain permits from the NH-DES. Motion to deny the intents to excavate from Harris Construction for tax years 2022-2023, 2023-2024, 2024-2025 (Shomody/Bowles). All in favor, motion carried. A letter denying the intents to excavate was signed.
Reviewed the quote from Justin Time Plumbing for the water filtration system approved at the 2025 town meeting. Motion to approve quotes 2 & 3 with clarification on whether these include electric (Bowles/Dufresne). All in favor, motion carried. Rory Goff will be asked to facilitate the installation of the water filtration system.
Discussion about the summer meeting schedule – it was determined that the Board will meet on 6/24/2025, 7/15/2025, and 8/26/2025.
Discussion about an email received from the NH-DOT inviting the Board members to a meeting with the DOT and Gary Backstrom at Jarmany Hill Road and Spring Hill Road on Friday April 18, 2025 at 10 am. The Road Agent and Board members are not sure what this meeting is about. Rich Dufresne had emailed that he should be able to attend. Sandy Eneguess, Road Agent will also try to attend.
