Selectmen Minutes
April 2, 2024
Present: Chet Bowles, Rich Dufresne, Jonathan Shomody
Call to order by Chet Bowles at 5:30 pm.
Motion to approve the minutes of 3/19/2024 (Bowles/Dufresne). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve the 2024 MS-232 Statement of Appropriations Voted (Bowles/Dufresne). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve the 2024-2024 Jaffrey Library contract (Dufresne/Bowles). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve transfers to Trust Funds (Bowles/Dufresne). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to appoint Rich Dufresne as the Ex-officio to the Planning Board (Bowle/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to appoint Chet Bowles as the Sharon Representative to the Conval Selectmen’s Advisory Committee (Dufresne/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to appoint Gerry Debonis to a 3 year term to the Planning Board (Dufresne/Bowles). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve Nathan Rautiola to work on the front walkway, not to exceed $1,200.00 (Bowles/Shomody). All in favor, motion carried.
The new firewall has been installed, the”tunnel” to the State of NH-DMV for the Comcast static IP address has been received and will be worked on by the end of the week.
Mr. Bowles:
Mentioned that the piano in the large meeting room is not used and suggested giving it away. The Board agreed and Mr. Bowles will advertise the piano.
Suggested sending correspondence to Elizabeth Preston regarding site plan review for her farm stand. The Board agreed and Mr. Bowles will compose an email to Ms. Preston.
Anne Booth:
Submitted new language form the ConCom signs at the town forest. The Board approved the language. The ConCom plans to purchase about 12 signs.
Ken Callahan:
Came to the Meeting House during the power outage and the generator was running.
Mr. Callahan will try to determine how much propane was used.
